"NEVER AGAIN WILL ONE GENERATION OF VETERANS ABANDON ANOTHER"

Welcome Home!
Vietnam War 50th Anniversary
2009 Marked The 50th Anniversary Of the United States Of America's 16 Year Military Involvement In Vietnam, Supporting The People Of Vietnam.

The Department Of Defense planned a series of commemorations across the Nation to continue on until 2025, the anniversary of the fall of Saigon. However, Michael Rhodes a Director at the Pentagon, appointed by the Obama administration in 2010, that same year began scaling back drastically on the commemorations. This, then, is dedicated to that now very tentative (if at all) 16 year commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. Read more facts and data on the "News, Events" page, including a link to a very informative web site with education sources on the entire history of the US involvement with and in Vietnam.
ABOUT VIETNAM VETERANS of AMERICA

Founded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is the only Congressional chartered national Vietnam Veteran’s organization, dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families. VVA is organized as a not-for-profit corporation and is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(19) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.

While we remain committed to helping our Vietnam Veteran Brothers as well as encouraging their membership and vital, ongoing participation, we also strongly support Veterans of all wars. We especially want to reach out to our younger Brothers returning from Iraq, Afghanistan and the Global War on Terrorism to assist them with their transition upon reentering their Country and society. If you have questions, concerns or doubts please feel comfortable turning to those who have been "there." For more information please contact a VVA Chapter 1024 member or, better yet, attend one of our meetings (see Events & News). All Veterans are encouraged to attend.
